Fall Food Drive Returns

(Greeley – October, 2021) The High Plains Library District is once again hosting its Fall Food Drive in libraries across the District.

Several northern Colorado libraries have partnered with local food banks to help stock food bank shelves in preparation for the holiday season.

Participating libraries throughout the High Plains Library District are hosting a food drive to benefit the Weld Food Bank, Erie Community Food Bank, Carbon Valley Help Center, Ault Food Bank, Fort Lupton Food and Clothing Bank, St. Nicholas Food Pantry, and Milliken Community Food Pantry.

Libraries in Ault, Eaton, Erie, Evans, Firestone, Fort Lupton, Gilcrest, Greeley, Hudson, Johnstown, Kersey, Platteville as well as Outreach and Mobile Services will be accepting food donations from October 11-22.

“Libraries have a unique opportunity to reach out and positively impact communities where food security is often scarce,” said James Melena, Community Relations and Marketing Manager for HPLD. “Our District is grateful to partner with so many community organizations in helping fulfill our community’s food needs.”
