Library Director: Eaton Public Library

The Town of Eaton Colorado’s Public Library is The Little Engine that Could. It’s a small-town library with big support and big participation. It needs a director that can help it get to the top of the mountain. Do you have vision, energy, and desire to fuel its continued ascent?  We have a great staff, a great community, and a great facility that has the latest technology, Maker Space Lab, and rock-solid programming. What we need now is a director that has the leadership, skill and commitment to keep up the momentum. Get away from the city, lead a dynamic and active library in a beautiful little town in the northern plains of Colorado.

Located in Eaton, Colorado, the Eaton Public Library has grown from a small brick library constructed in 1911 to a 12,000 square foot, newly remodeled and updated modern library. Staff and patrons love the historical feel of our library which was named after Benjamin Eaton, a former governor and credited with bringing irrigation to Weld County.  As part of High Plains Library District, we enjoy solid funding to pay competitive salaries, for extensive programs and our up-to-date collections. Our new Makerspace Lab has great potential for our forward-thinking staff in this small town of 6,000 residents.  Our library is located 5 miles north of Greeley, home to the University of Northern Colorado. Fort Collins, home to Colorado State University and a convenient gateway to enjoying the Rocky Mountains is only a 25-mile drive on uncrowded roads.  We are near bike trails, the Pawnee Grassland, numerous public parks, and recreational opportunities.
