Greeley History Museum and Centennial Village Museum

The Greeley History Museum showcases and preserves Greeley and Weld County’s history through permanent and temporary exhibitions, educational programs, research, and collections.  

Colorado Model Railroad Museum

The Gardens on Spring Creek

A community botanic garden of Fort Collins, Colorado.  This 18-acre site opened in 2004 as part of an important partnership between the City of Fort Collins and the Friends of the Gardens on Spring Creek.  

Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures

Reservations: 

  • Items check out for a 7-day period (beginning on the start reservation date). 

Making a Reservation: 

Your reservation will be cancelled by the system if the following conditions aren’t met: 

  • You must have a valid email address 
  • You must have a Resident library card. CLC, Limited access or eAccess card holders are not eligible for Specialty Checkout service. 
  • You must be at least 18 years old 
  • You must have less than $7.50 in fines/fees on your library account. 
  • Your reservation start date must be at least 4 days after today’s date. 

Picking Up Your Item: 

  • Reservation(s) are effective for 48 hours. Item(s) must be checked out within the 48-hour hold time. (For example: If you reserve a laptop for 10:00 am on Monday, you must pick up the item by 9:59 am on Wednesday. At 10:00 am on Wednesday, your reservation is automatically cancelled). No exceptions. Item(s) can be picked up any time during the 48-hour hold time. 
  • The person who made the reservation must pick up the item. 
  • You must bring a photo ID and your library card to check out your item. 

Returning Your Item: 

  • You can return items on or before the end reservation day. 
  • Please return items to the library from which they are checked out. 
  • You can pick up and return your item during open library hours. 
  • Due to potential damage of items, you must return Specialty Checkout items to the front desk. 
  • You will be suspended from Specialty Checkout if items are returned in the book drop three times. 

Limits:

  • You may have 2 active reservations at a time, but you may only check out 1 of each item at a time. (You can have 2 active Telescope reservations, but can only have 1 out at a time)
  • You may make up to 12 reservations per calendar year.
  • A patron will be suspended from the use of the Specialty Checkout service if they have three abandoned holds of any item. An abandoned hold is defined as an item that has not been picked up within the 48-hour pick up window. This does not include cancelled holds by patron or staff.
  • Because laptops are internet-enabled, simultaneous laptop and mifi unit reservations will result in cancellation of the mifi reservation.
  • You will be suspended from further use of SCO if you return an item 7 days late 3 times.

Suspension: 

Due to the limited number of items and the calendar system, the following infractions will result in a 3 month suspension from the Specialty Checkout Service. 

  • Three occurrences of abandoned holds. An abandoned hold is an item that has not been picked up within the 48-hour pick up window. This does not include cancelled holds by you or staff. 
  • If items are not returned directly to the front desk of the library three times. 
  • If items are returned 7 days late 3 times in a calendar year.
