3D Printing

3D Printing

Book a Time

Book a time to use a 3D printer at Carbon Valley Regional Library, Erie Community Library or LINC Library Innovation Center.

Training

You will be provided with a safety training during your first reservation. This typically takes 30 minutes.

Materials

Filament Cost: 10 cents per gram.

The provided filament (PLA) must be used. No outside materials are permitted.

The color loaded in the machine when you arrive is the color that will be used for your print.

Limitations

We do not offer 3D modelling training or assistance. Patrons are expected to learn 3D modelling on their own. We suggest getting started in TinkerCAD (free online 3D modelling software) and watching tutorials online.

Please note:

Maker services are not a substitute for a professional print shop or manufacturer. For professional and bulk projects, or for projects with a strict deadline, working with a professional is recommended

Projects may take longer than desired and are rarely finished in one session

Innovation Technicians are here to help, and at times they may need to step away to help another patron

Makerspaces are learning environments, and we encourage you to embrace the learning process

We are excited to have you in our space and eager to help, and we appreciate your understanding.
