The High Plains Library District (HPLD) is proud to announce the grand opening of its new branch, HPLD Library & Archive. This library, situated next to the current administrative building in Greeley, will house a large collection of local historical documents, traditional library services and materials, and will feature a digital preservation lab.
“We can’t wait to show off the unique features of this library and archive,” said James Melena, HPLD Community Relations and Marketing Manager. “There’s so much history to uncover in this library, whether you want to search for it or bring in your own to digitize. When the District purchased the Tribune building to build LINC Library, we also acquired the compete newspaper collection from the Greeley Tribune, so we are excited to finally put all of that in a proper home for the community to view and enjoy.”
HPLD Library & Archive’s grand opening will be on June 27th from 2 to 5pm at 2650 W. 29th St. in Greeley. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
