FAQ

What Is LINC?

LINC is short for (Library Innovation Center) and represents the next iteration of the High Plains Library District. It’s a place where children to adults will see creativity and possibility come to life.

What Will LINC Offer?

LINC will provide resources, space, and equipment to develop new skills that can lead to a career path or encourage a new hobby. LINC is a space to innovate, create, gather, and learn. LINC is an entry point into the future.

LINC will include a library, children’s exhibit, event space, genealogy, board room, woodshop, 3-D printers, soundproof music/video studio, and interactive installations

How Will LINC Serve The Community?

LINC will serve as a hub to test experiences, programs and exhibits, that once dialed in will travel and be shared at libraries across the District.

This ever-evolving project will adapt to the changing needs of the community.

Why Is This Project Being Done?

LINC was guided by direct community feedback from across the district as well as HPLD’s strategic planning process.

Tools and resources at LINC will open up a new world for those who would not otherwise have access

Where Is LINC?

LINC is located in downtown Greeley, 501 8th Ave, 80631, formerly the location of The Greeley Tribune.

With easy access to HWY-85, LINC will serve many of the surrounding communities as well as providing a strong anchor for Greeley’s downtown development.

This project is funded using HPLD’s reserve funds and through financial support from the Weld Community Foundation, Greeley Downtown Development Authority, and HPLD Friends and Foundation.
