Expanded Curbside Services Begin Monday, 12/7/2020

HPLD has determined that we are able to offer some enhanced curbside services beginning Monday, December 7, 2020.

Computer Use, Printing, Copying, and Faxing: will be available in branch libraries by appointment only. If you need these services, you must call the branch you’d like to use and make an appointment ahead of time. Please call before coming to the library. Staff will help you find a time and provide you with directions for entering the building.

You must wear a mask that covers your mouth and nose to enter the library, and you must keep your mouth and nose completely covered during your time in the library. Face shields will not be an acceptable substitute for a mask.

No more than two people to a computer.

Masks: Entry to the building for computer use, printing, copying, and faxing will be permitted only if you are wearing a mask that covers your mouth and nose the entire time you’re inside the building. If you have a medical exemption, please call ahead and we will accommodate you curbside. There will be no entry to the building without a mask.

Curbside Holds Pickup: will look mostly the same. You do not need to make an appointment, but when you arrive at the library, please follow the directions on the signs. You will need to call and let staff know you’re there. Please remain in your vehicle. These pickups are contactless, so you will not be able to get assistance by knocking on doors or speaking to anyone in-person. Please do not attempt to enter building, and please do not approach staff. If you don’t have a mobile phone, please call before you leave your house. See this page for details.

Specialty Checkout: Laptops, portable mifi units, and other Specialty Checkout items will be available for pickup. Please see this page for details.

Member Libraries: To find out which services are available at any of our Member libraries, please call the library you intend to use.

Services other than those listed will not be available. You will not be able to check out items inside the library or browse the collection while inside the library. You will not be able to use your own device to connect to the library’s wifi.
