HPLD Staff Improvement Day at UNC Postponed

(Greeley – March, 2020) – Due to ongoing health concerns related to the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the High Plains Library District has made the decision to postpone its annual Staff Improvement Day which was scheduled to take place Friday, March 13.

“The safety of our staff and patrons across the District is paramount as we all navigate this pandemic. We look forward to a time in the future when the threat of Coronavirus subsides and we urge everyone to stay safe in the coming weeks and months,” said Dr. Matthew Hortt, Executive Director of High Plains Library District. “We are in close contact with the Weld County Health Department in monitoring the ongoing situation and will continue to follow their recommendations.”

HPLD libraries were previously going to be closed for this Staff Improvement Day; in light of this postponement, HPLD libraries will be open on Friday, March 13, with regular operating hours. Along with an updated cleaning schedule, we are providing hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes at all our locations and encourage our staff and patrons to use them should they feel the need.
