Foundation Events and Programs
Join the High Plains Library District Foundation and the Community Grief Center for a special screening of The Art of Racing in the Rain with New York Times Best Selling Author Garth Stein. The Foundation’s 2019 Writer in Residence Laura Brashear will join Stein to discuss the film and how each author writes about grief. Seating is limited for this intimate event.

All proceeds benefit the HPLD Foundation’s Writer in Residence program and the programs of the Community Grief Center.
In addition to fundraising events, the High Plains Library District Foundation provides support for programs such as the Writer in Residence, Links for Literacy, and Technology Donations. These programs allow individualized support to community members and non-profits in addition to preserving the rich history of Northern Colorado.
The Foundation also supports the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten initiative, which promotes early literacy. The 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program is proudly sponsored by the Elevations Foundation.
