Projector Check Out

Now Available

Patrons can now reserve and check out a projector for a 7 day period through our catalog.

  • Borrower must be 18 years of age or older and have less then $7.50 in fines and fees.
  • Borrower must present his/her High Plains Library District Library card and an acceptable photo ID
  • Borrower may not be one of the following borrower types: unverified, net card, or CLC
  • Borrower must have sufficient knowledge to operate the projecter including knowledge of: how to start and shut down the projector

Obligations of Borrower:

  • Borrower is responsible of powering up and confirming bulb/unit works. It is recommended the borrower do this testing at the library prior to taking the unit off site.
  • Projector must be delivered personally to a staff person on the day of or before the date it is due.
  • Borrower shall not lend the projector to other persons and shall exercise care to assure that the projector is not lost or stolen.
  • Borrower shall exercise care to properly use the projector and to not cause damage to it.

Liability of Borrower:

  1. Borrower will be charged a $50.00 per day fine for each day the projector is not returned after the due date.
  2. Borrower will be charged a $50.00 fine if he/she fails to return it in person to a staff member.
  3. Borrower will be charged for any damage to the projector not covered by warranty up to the full cost of a replacement unit of $800.00.
  4. If Borrower fails to return the projector within 6 days of the due date, the projector will be considered stolen, and the library may report the failure to return to appropriate law enforcement authorities.
