Been living under a rock? A Classic Rock that is! Learn to play the guitar in a laid-back environment. Jam out once a week. Learn a few chords, play a few riffs, and rehearse a song or two by the end of the five week session. Ages 18+; registration required. Tea and coffee lovers have never been more passionate about what's in their mug. There are seemingly endless variations on these two ubiquitous drinks and this is a great chance to deepen your appreciation for something you already love, or discover a new favorite.

Taste samples of artisan teas and coffees and learn about their history, production and preparation from the owner of Cranford Cove Tea Tavern.

Backyard Birds - Big and Small

Come to Kersey Library on Saturday, May 21, from 1- 2:45 pm, or Riverside Library on Saturday, May 28, 1-2:45 pm, as Nature's Educators teaches us all about raptors you might see in your own backyard. They will even bring four BIG birds for you to meet! Afterwards, Home Depot will help us build birdhouses to take home. Space is limited to the first 20 children at each program.

Strumming in the Stacks

We provide the guitars, you provide the talent. Unplug, keep calm and learn to play the guitar. Join us at Riverside Library, Mondays: June 6-27, from 3-4 pm, and enjoy a casual environment while we learn a few chords, play a few riffs, and rehearse a song or two by the end of the four week session. No experience necessary. Ages 10-17; registration required. Space is limited to 6 students.

Grilling 101 with Lew Miller

Learn basics of grilling and smoking with Lew Miller, a Kansas City Barbeque Society Certified Judge and Erie resident. Some of the things we'll talk about include selecting the proper equipment, the best fuels,spices and how to make a few great dishes on the grill from stuffed meatloaf to grilled desserts. Lew returns to Erie Community Library on May 26 at 6 pm. Registration is required.

Improv Comedy with Rocky Mountain Theatre for Kids

Teens in Grades 6-12 are welcome to join us for a 2-hour workshop that will explore the art of improvisational comedy through solo, duo, and group exercises that enhance self-confidence, creativity, teamwork and basic acting skills. Improv is also a great tool to promote stage presence and comedic timing...plus it's a ton of fun! The workshop will be held at Erie Community Library on May 28, from 2-4 pm. Registration is required.

Rocky Mountain Theatre For Kids gives students a professional theater experience as well as the unique opportunity to study theatre in a true workshop environment.

Playmaking and Pantomime with Rocky Mountain Theatre for Kids

Imagination and creative play are the foundations of acting. Children in grades 3-5 are invited to join the Rocky Mountain Theatre for Kids for a fun and confidence-boosting hour of improvisational pantomime, creative movement, character play, and traditional scene work. This workshop will be held at Erie Community Library on May 28, from 1-2 pm. Registration is required.
