Age Group(s): All Ages
Start Time: 1:00 PM
End Time: 3:00 PM

The Olympics weren't the only ancient stage for strength and skill. Join us in the parking lot and field outside Farr Regional Library for an afternoon full of Scottish fun as we re-create one of the oldest sets for athletic prowess: the Highland Games. Toss a caber, shoot some nerf-arrows, and see how well you do at tug-of-war. We'll have scorecards so you can impress your friends and information on what the Highland Games were really like. We'll also provide the scores your local librarians got on each event, and you get bragging rights if you beat them. Come for some last minute fun in the sun before school starts and enjoy a look into different culture and time. Wear your kilts or your ghillies if you have them.
