Get a Virtual Card
A Virtual Card is used when you can't make it to the library and want to place an item on hold or browse our databases. Click here to get started with a Virtual Card. Once there, click on New User.
Virtual Cards are only good for 30 days. You will need to come into one of the libraries to change your Virtual Card into a real card.
If you see an error message, go to Tools on your Toolbar, click compatibility or compatibility settings, add mylibrary.us and then click close.
See below for information on how to get a card.
Residents of the High Plains Library District and non-District residents of Colorado known as CLC (Windsor, Severance, Dacono and outside of Weld County) can get a library card.
Your first library card is free. Replacement library cards are $1.00.
You must have your library card with you to use the Internet computers.

One photo identification with correct address is required to get a library card.
This can be shown on the same form of ID, such as a driver's license.
Acceptable forms of photo identification for borrowers age 16 and older include:
- Driver's License
- Consulate card
- Military ID
- Permanent resident card
- School ID
- State ID
If the address on the photo ID is not correct, then a 2nd form of ID with the correct address is needed.
Acceptable forms of 2nd ID include:
- Voter registration
- Utility bill, rent or mortgage receipt
- Mail addressed to current address
- Car registration
- Printed checks with current address
- OR any other legitimate legal document showing name and current address
If patron has only 1 form of identification, patron can receive an unverified card that will allow them to check out 1 item. Patron can fill out a HPLD postcard that will be mailed to them. Once patron receives, bring it back to the library and the postcard will count as proof of residence.
Juvenile Card (age 15 and younger)
Both parent/legal guardian and juvenile must be present to get a card.
If parent/legal guardian has a valid HPLD card, this can be used as verification of address and parent/legal guardian does not need to show additional ID.
If parent/legal guardian does not have a valid HPLD card, a photo ID and verification of address must be shown. (See acceptable forms of identification above).
Eaccess Library Card
Patrons who only wish to use the Internet computers, can obtain an Eaccess Library Card.
